Currency Fluctuations
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. ECO Contribution Tax Effective June 1, 2016
Beginning June 1, 2016, per the Maltese government, a new ECO Contribution tax of .50c EUR per day, per guest over 18 years of age will be applied on all stays. The ECO tax is not included in the room rates and will be added to the total bill at checkout. The cap is a maximum of 5 EUR per person, per stay. Please contact the resort for further information.

Minimum Age Requirement Policy
The minimum age to register and check-in at The Westin Dragonara Resort is 18 years (at least one person per room). A valid ID is required at check-in.

Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 16 years or older (with valid identification).

Credit/Debit Card Policy
The credit card used to make a reservation must be valid for the entire stay. A pre-authorisation on the credit card will be taken by the Hotel at check-in for the full accommodation amount of your stay plus an extra €25/€50 per person per night to cover incidentals. The Hotel will issue instruction to release the pre-authorisation amount once all the respective room charges are settled. However please note that pre-authorisation amount can only be effectively released by the Credit Card Issueing Bank and this may take up to 30 days after departure.

Prepaid rates require a deposit with valid credit card that will be charged at time of booking and which must remain valid for the entire stay. If the credit card charges are declined, the booking will be automatically cancelled. The credit card used to pay prepaid reservations must be presented to the hotel at check in. If this credit card is not made available to the front desk at check in and a different credit card presented, the full pre-payment will be refunded on the original credit card used to pre-pay the booking and re-charged on the credit card presented to the hotel at time of check in.

Connecting Room Policy
The hotel has a number of interconnecting rooms available in different room categories.  These can be requested at booking stage or by contacting our reservations department on  However, the request cannot be confirmed prior to arrival and is subject to availability on the day of arrival.  

Currency Policy
The local currency is Euro (€). We accept the following foreign currencies: Euro, U.S. Dollar, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, and Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish Kroner.

Travellers Cheques
The hotel accepts the following travellers cheques: Chase Manhattan, Barclays and American Express. Only travellers cheques in Euro Currency are accepted. 

Early Departure Policy
Guests departing early will be charged for the full reserved stay.

Early Arrival Policy
Guests arriving before the 3PM check-in time may store their luggage in our luggage room.

Family Plan Policy
Children who are 12 years or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. The maximum occupancy in the majority of our rooms is 4 persons, whilst some suites can accommodate more. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges. Cribs are provided upon request. However, please note that guests will need to bring blankets, bumpers or pillows as they are not provided by the hotel. If extra bedding is required, please contact the hotel directly.

Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy
To redeem a gift certificate, you must reserve in advance and provide the gift certificate number. Please call the hotel directly Monday - Friday between 8.30am - 6.30pm. Reservations are subject to resort availability, and the gift certificate must be presented at check-in.

ID Requirement
Guests are required to present a valid ID card or passport at check-in.

Package Handling Policy
Packages for guests are only accepted if the guest is in house or scheduled to arrive. Packages are first delivered to our Security Base and logged in the system, then sent to the guest's room, where a signature is required to confirm receipt.

Pet Policy
Cats and dogs weighing up to 18 kilograms are allowed in the resort - at an additional fee - in our Luxury Bay Suites only. Please inform our reservations team beforehand on

Pool Policy
Children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No food or beverages are to be consumed on the premises unless purchased from the resort. No reservation of sunbeds is allowed. Inflatables are only allowed in the family pool, at the Reef Club. Swimming at night is not permitted.

Privacy Policy
We keep all our guests' details strictly confidential and never provide them to any third parties.

Smoking Policy
Smoking in enclosed public areas is against Maltese Law and prohibited in the resort’s indoor spaces. Smoking is not allowed in guestrooms; however, guests can smoke on their balconies.
