FRONT OFFICE SHIFT LEADER

This position’s main function entails supporting the Front Office Manager with ensuring that Front Office shifts are run efficiently, by providing outstanding guest service in order to create memorable experiences and by making emotional connections with our guests.   In this position, the Shift Leader will be responsible for supporting the Front Office associates with their duties which include welcoming guests to the resort, answering guest questions, resolving and following-up guest complaints, check-in & check-out duties in accordance with the Westin Brand Standards.

In performing this role, the successful applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • In possession of a Diploma in Hospitality/ Accommodation Operation or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience within the Hospitality Industry
  • Outstanding communication skills including fluency in English & in other languages
  • Sound Leadership skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computer and preferably knowledge of Opera

SERVICE EXPRESS AGENT

The position of Service Express Agent is currently available within the Service Express Department.  This position’s main function entails answering & directing all telephone calls, whilst handling guests’ requests promptly and professionally, with the aim of providing maximum guest/customer satisfaction.

In performing this role, the successful applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Advanced level standard of education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English and in other languages
  • Sound know-how of hotel operations
  • Customer Service Skills

PIZZAIOLO

We are currently looking for a passionate and talented Pizzaiolo/Pizza Chef to join our Culinary team in order to enhance the quality of our pizza menu, whilst innovatively maintaining our standards.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous work experience as a Pizzaiolo preferably in a Restaurant or Pizzeria
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Good Communication Skills
  • A Certificate/ Diploma in Food Preparation & Production or equivalent will be considered an asset

NIGHT AUDITOR

This role calls for a mature and responsible person who will be supporting the Night Manager in overseeing the nightly operations of the Front Office.  The successful candidate will act as a contact person for guests and other departments during night shifts.  S/he will be responsible for performing Night Audit procedures and for ensuring that reports are done accurately and distributed.  Other duties will include addressing guests’ complaints or requests in a friendly and professional manner, whilst ensuring that all matters are resolved and followed up.

In performing this role, the successful applicant must possess the following requirements:

  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Fluency in English and other European languages
  • Computer Literacy and preferably knowledge of Opera
  • Good working knowledge of mathematical concepts
  • Preferably in possession of a qualification in Front Office/accommodation
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset

FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR - QUADRO & PALIO'S

The vacancy of Food & Beverage Supervisor is currently available within the Quadro and the Palio’s Restaurants.  The Quadro Restaurant is the Winner of the "Fine Dining" Award and has a masterful culinary team who prepares exquisite seafood, fresh fish and meat dishes to showcase the region's best cuisine.  The Palio's Restaurant is one of Malta's top family friendly restaurants offering delicious Maltese and Italian dishes sure to enrich every dining experience.

The selected candidate will be supporting the Restaurant Manager in managing effectively the restaurants through direct supervision of the associates, in order to provide an exceptional dining experience that satisfies our guests, by offering prompt and professional, yet friendly and courteous service in a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Good Leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English and preferably in other languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Previous work experience in a similar role
  • Preferably in possession of a Diploma in Food & Beverage Service, Hotel Operations or equivalent

SERVICE EXPRESS ATTENDANT

The main function of the Service Express Attendant is to provide efficient and accurate delivery and pick up of items to and from guest rooms, as directed by the Service Express Command Centre in order to deliver outstanding guest service.

Duties and responsibilities include in-room dining, luggage services, greeting and escorting guests to and from their room, responding to guest inquiries and requests in an efficient and friendly manner whilst ensuring that newspapers, packages and amenities are delivered to guest rooms in a timely and professional manner.

In performing this role, the successful applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Having an outgoing Personality
  • Sound communication skills
  • Fluency in English and preferably in other languages
  • Basic Food & Beverage Knowledge
  • Basic IT knowledge will be considered an asset

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN OUR FOOD & BEVERAGE DEPARTMENT

The aim of these internships is to foster students’ professional development and understanding of the Food and Beverage department and beyond. The intern will have a good exposure to hotel operations and will receive guidance on career planning throughout the internship.

We provide each intern with valuable experiences in the field of hospitality, including networking opportunities, and hands-on experience which will prepare the intern to successfully enter the workforce in the future. The intern will also learn how to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment that spans multiple departments.

Ideally applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently following a Diploma or Degree in a Hospitality Management School or equivalent
  • Be available for the internship from April until October (dates could be discussed)
  • Positive attitude and passion for the hospitality industry.

RESTAURANTS AND BANQUETING FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVERS

We are looking for Food and Beverage Servers for our Restaurants & Banquet Operation to provide an excellent service to guests and clients whilst ensuring their expectations are exceeded and standards are consistently maintained.  

Applicants need to be fluent in English and willing to work in the weekends and during the festive season.

HOUSEKEEPING ROOM ATTENDANTS

The selected candidates will be responsible for cleaning guest Rooms in accordance with brand and hotel standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean rooms, in order to ensure a safe and clean experience to our guests.  Candidates must be able to interact with guests in a courteous and friendly manner and to respond to guests’ questions, provide guest assistance and information as requested.

Ideally applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Outgoing personality
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Previous work experience in hospitality will be considered an asset

PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANTS

Selected candidates will be responsible for keeping the resort’s public facilities including the lobby, front desk, restaurants and restrooms in a neat and clean condition.  Chosen candidates might be requested to deliver miscellaneous goods and supplies to guest rooms or guest floors and to move furniture, supplies or equipment.
